Die vielversprechende Kombination von Kaffee&CBD

CBD and coffee: a promising combo

We at Canna Berlin have two great passions at once: first, we love CBD, that's obvious. And secondly, our heart beats for coffee! What at first seems quite contradictory, after all CBD relaxes and stimulates coffee, is at second glance all too logical, because CBD in coffee reduces its side effects and turns it into a wonderful morning pick-me-up: CBD coffee gives energy and relaxes - at the same time. CBD-infused coffee is a trend that has long since made it from the US to Europe. And now even as far as Berlin. It is not for nothing that we also run the Café Canna Berlin in addition to our online store, where we offer vegan CBD brownies and hemp lemonade as well as CBD-infused coffee. Yum! So today we want to dedicate ourselves to the trendy topic of CBD coffee.

Coffee - the Germans' favorite beverage

In Germany alone, everyone drinks an average of more than 160 liters of coffee a year. No wonder, after all, the drink invigorates, tastes delicious and helps to start the day - or even sometimes a night to wake up. Coffee offers many advantages!

Benefits of coffee and caffeine ...

For example, it improves memory, researchers at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore have found that just 200 milligrams of caffeine boosts memory! But coffee drinkers also have a significantly reduced risk of developing skin cancer, as scientists from Harvard have found. Optimal amount of coffee for this: at least three cups daily. And a study at Stanford University concluded that coffee can also prevent chronic inflammation and protect against heart disease. Last but not least, coffee drinkers suffer less from depression. The reason for this is the antioxidants contained in coffee. They stimulate the production of dopamine, serotonin and norepinephrine in the body, all messenger substances that make people happy. So coffee not only tastes delicious, but is also quite healthy.

.

... And their disadvantages.

Despite this, coffee and the caffeine it contains definitely also has unpleasant side effects. Coffee makes restless and nervous, causes many problems with falling asleep and stomach, sometimes causes sweating, rarely even anxiety and cardiac arrhythmia. However, these side effects normally only occur when too much coffee is drunk, namely from a quantity of 200 to 500 mg of caffeine per day. Nevertheless, even if a cup of coffee does not automatically trigger a panic attack, most know the feeling of nervousness that spreads in you when you have drunk the first coffee - but that does not have to be! Try the combination of CBD and coffee.

Effect of CBD coffee

.

So if you don't feel like shaky hands after drinking coffee, just drink a coffee spiked with CBD, because CBD and coffee in combination do not cancel each other out in their mode of action, but rather mutually reinforce their positive properties: CBD coffee is significantly more tolerable than normal coffee, has a relaxing effect and still makes you perky. With moderate coffee consumption CBD coffee is therefore absolutely suitable for daily enjoyment.

.

What does science say about CBD coffee?

Scientifically, by the way, little work has been done on the subject, there is still a lot to do. However, it can be speculated that CBD coffee is such a great thing because CBD, like caffeine, interacts with adenosine. Adenosine is a neurotransmitter that makes us tired. So while caffeine blocks adenosine, CBD simultaneously stimulates the release of serotonin, akind of "happy hormone" that makess us feel fit and alert.

Also, there are early theories that CBD and caffeine, taken at the same time, mutually prolong their duration of action because the liver needs the same enzymes to process both substances; this ensures that this processing process slows down, prolonging the effects of CBD and caffeine!

.

So far so the theory, but what about the practice. How do I get then finally to a CBD coffee?

How to make CBD-infused coffee

.

Possibility one: add CBD to coffee yourself. To do this, you can simply add a few drops of CBD oil to your ready-made coffee. To avoid spoiling the taste of your coffee, you should use a CBD oil based on MCT coconut oil for this purpose, like our Canna Berlin 10% Full Spectrum CBD Oil. Our oil has a pleasant mild aroma, whereas hemp seed oil-based CBD oils have an intense flavor of their own that can detract from the coffee taste experience. But if you still want to make it easy, choose option two and use our already CBD-infused Canna Coffee.

.

Our Canna Coffee

.

Because Canna Coffee is available as a whole bean in the 250g package or already ground as 70g single-servet. The CBD here is applied to the beans in an elaborate spray process, and the oil and bean are also aromatically matched, and we emphasize appropriate CBD dosage: we add 100mg of full-spectrum extract to said 70g pack of ground coffee. With the 250g whole bean coffee it is even 300mg CBD! Using 7 grams for an edible coffee, this corresponds to a CBD content of about 10mg per cup or the equivalent of about 2-3 drops of Canna Berlin 10% Full Spectrum CBD Oil.

.

In addition, our Canna Coffee is simply delicious: it is a rich blend of Robusta and Arabica beans imported from Brazil, Peru, Honduras, Uganda, and Tanzania. Theseare full in flavor (coffee connoisseurs refer to them as "full body") and have a mediumroasted aroma; this means that the balance between acidity, roasted flavors, and the bean's own flavor remains nicely balanced. Our beans are a little longer in the roaster than their lighter relative and thus gets its magnificent medium brown color.

.

Coffee and vaping - instead of coffee and cigarettes

.

There is of course another variant to combine coffee and CBD, namely to comfortably drink his coffee and vape CBD to it. This is not only much healthier than the classic combination of coffee and cigarettes, but also an effective way to consume CBD and cushion the usual coffee side effects. We think: this is a breakfast for connoisseurs.
